Ran into a dishonest patrol officer this morning...very disappointing. We are suppose to be able to trust cops and look up to them. I have been trying to contact the police department (even called the city court!) and everyone has been so rude!!! I just have a simple question with no attitude included and all I get is the run around. What has happened to todays law enforcement?
Horrible old officers
I want to express my gratitude to the off duty Lake City police officer who was working his part time job at Chic-Fil-A in Forest Park on 11-19-15 between 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm. I was attending my son's soccer banquet at the restaurant on this date. After the banquet, I mistakenly left my wallet on the table. The this officer went Above and Beyond to make sure my wallet was given back to me. He called Morrow Police Department to come to my home and let me know I left my wallet. Morrow PD told him my address was out of jurisdiction. He did not stop there. He called my medical insurance company to they could notify me, but the insurance company was closed. He did not stop there. He remembered that I was officer from the jacket I had on. He called Metro State Prison. He did not get an answer. FINALLY, he called the bank that was listed on my credit card. The bank immediately called me with him on the phone. I was able to go back to Chic-Fil-A to get me wallet. I also have to note that while I was gone, Morrow PD did come to my home anyway. I am so overjoyed right now due to the efforts of this officer to make sure I had my wallet with everything in tact. I am so thankful to God that my wallet fell into the hands of a wonderful guy. Law Enforcement is about making a difference in a person's life. On this night, this officer duty officer made a great difference in me and my son's life. I am so thankful that my 10 year old was able to witness what police officers do and that is to make a difference no matter where they are. Thank you so Officer. I did not get your name, but I will never forget you! You are my hero and do not change. From one law enforcement officer to another!
